Assist in developing internal controls, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and guidelines.

TheRadisson Hotel La Crosse is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Accounting Team!

SHIFT:

Hybrid Schedule: Full-Time, normal business hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the development of finance and accounting strategies which are aligned with the overall objectives of the hotel

  • Monitors status and recommends adjustments to strategies as appropriate

  • Participates in developing the annual budget

  • Assures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures

  • Ensures that all work is accurate, timely and done in accordance with Choice Hotels standards

  • Supervises and participates in the operation of the accounting department

  • Oversees training and cross-training of accounting staff

  • Assures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures

REQUIREMENT/SKILLS:

  • Three years accounting experience, including two to three years in hospitality setting preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork

  • Experience with accounting software

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of times

  • Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use force or exertion up to 75 lbs.

  • Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment, such as but not limited to computers, printers, phones ect.
